Port Taranaki has jumped on board as a new Operational Supporter of Taranaki Foundation.

Port Taranaki joins a growing group of local organisations helping to ensure the long-term sustainability of Taranaki Foundation and supporting its mission to create a thriving Taranaki for generations to come.

Taranaki Foundation chief executive Josh Hickford shares that “the support of organisations such as Port Taranaki plays a vital role in enabling the Foundation to carry out its work in the community”.

“Port Taranaki is a cornerstone of our region’s economy and community, so it’s fantastic to have their backing as we work to grow the region’s philanthropic capacity,” he says.

Port Taranaki general manager commercial Ross Dingle says supporting the Foundation aligns with the port’s commitment to the region and its people.

“We are owned by the community through the Taranaki Regional Council, and are a key economic asset for the region, so we look to support the community when and where we can.

“We are proud to support Taranaki Foundation and the important role the Foundation plays in helping build a better future for our region. Our support reflects our ongoing commitment to community wellbeing, growth and development.”

Taranaki Foundation Operational Supporters are local businesses and organisations who share the Foundation's vision for a strong, vibrant, and caring Taranaki.

"We are incredibly grateful for their belief in our work and their investment in our region’s future," says Josh.

"For more than 140 years, Port Taranaki has played a vital role in the economic and social wellbeing of our region. Their strong community focus is clear – visit their Our Community page on their website to see the wide range of initiatives they support across Taranaki."
