Moturoa Wharf is generally used for dry bulk cargoes. It is serviced by road and features an 18,000 tonne dry storage facility.
There are two shipping berths available on Moturoa Wharf, the largest of which can berth 200 metre LOA vessels and has a maximum draft of 12.5 metres.
Bunkering facilities have been established on Moturoa 1 for vessels servicing offshore oil and gas production operations. Fresh water and diesel oil bunkers are available through 100mm lines.
Please note that this is the weight limit for any single axle or axle set (as defined in NZTA Factsheet 13, June 2013).
If you are unsure of the axle loads your vehicle is carrying, weigh it on a weighbridge before accessing Moturoa Wharf.
If you have any questions regarding particular vehicles or load combinations, please contact the Port Engineering Department on 751 0200.
