Visitors to Port Taranaki
The Port Taranaki area is unique, encompassing operational, commercial and retail, and recreational areas, including popular Ngāmotu Beach.
Visitors are welcome to explore the wider public area, which includes cafes, marine-related retail businesses, the Lee Breakwater and boat ramp for fishing and water-related activities, and the Coastal Walkway for walking, running and biking.
The secure Port Taranaki Restricted Operations Area is not open to the public.
The Port Taranaki Centre
The Port Taranaki Centre overlooks Ngāmotu Beach on Bayly Road. As well as Port Taranaki Limited, the centre includes offices for Maritime New Zealand, Customs New Zealand, Ministry for Primary Industries, and AsureQuality Ltd.
We have an unmanned reception. If you’re meeting with someone from Port Taranaki, please follow the prompts on the visitor management system to sign in. Your host will be automatically alerted and a visitor pass printed.
