As part of its review of the parking management system installed late last year at the Lee Breakwater carpark, Port Taranaki has arranged a public meeting to allow the community to express its views.
“It was always planned that the parking management system would be reviewed at this time and the meeting scheduled for next week is part of that review,” said Port Taranaki CEO Guy Roper.
“We are aware of concerns expressed by some users of the carpark. We have also had a lot of positive feedback from other users who have welcomed the efforts we have made to better manage the area.
“The result has been an increase in the number of vehicles able to park close to the boat ramp, the walkway and the various businesses located around the east end of Ocean View Parade. We are keen to hear the views of all user groups,” he said.
The public meeting will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 4 May at the New Plymouth Sportfishing and Underwater Club, Ocean View Parade, New Plymouth.
