A newly created role here at Port Taranaki Limited offers a unique opportunity.  As the Marketing and Administrative support person for the Commercial team, your role will be a key point of engagement for our community relationships as well as providing marketing, database and property administrative support.

 

Due to the varied nature of this role, we seek a person who is tech and media/marketing savvy and who also has great multi-tasking skills.  Our ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing/office administrator and/or a well-rounded marketing graduate who is wanting to jump into a diverse and fast paced support role.

As part of the Commercial team, the Logistics Key Account Manager will be the voice of our customer.  This key relationship role will provide a critical interface for our cargo customers with key internal stakeholders ensuring we deliver maximum value and operational excellence.

 

This role will;

  • Forecast, plan and problem solve to facilitate optimised onsite storage for logging, dry bulk and project cargo customers;
  • Seek out opportunities to grow new business from existing bulk cargo customers;
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and work practices within the organisation;
  • Utilise data sources and reporting to facilitate effective utilisation of Port assets;
  • Capture, reconcile and interpret data supporting customer billing processes;
  • Provide customer insight that informs customer engagement and business growth strategies.

 

A successful candidate will have:

Customer Relationship Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Customer Relationship Manager to join the team.  This role will be responsible for maintaining and building strong collaborative relationships across our trade and property portfolio covering a broad range of sectors.

 

You will;

  • Be responsible for delivery of PTL’s customer engagement strategy, actively seeking out business opportunities;
  • Provide a critical interface between the Commercial team, our Operations, asset and Financial teams to ensure new and existing revenue generating activities are planned and transitioned effectively;
  • Conduct regular customer relationship reviews, identify satisfaction levels, identify opportunities to expand service offerings;
  • Ensure quality business outcomes for both customers and key port stakeholders;
  • Take ownership of and manage our CRM interface;
  • Drive regular marketing campaigns promoting the Port Taranaki brand and capability to targeted industry groups;
  • Execute the Port’s Property Strategy, including property management, property marketing, and assisting in reviewing property development options;
  • Negotiate leases and variations for new and existing business;
  • Be an active champion for continuous improvement;
  • Have a can-do attitude that turns opportunity into reality

 

A successful candidate will have;

  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term stakeholder relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to understand customers’ needs
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills

In this newly created role of System Analyst you will drive the optimisation of investment in business information systems.  This role will drive business wide adoption, integration, understanding and development of systems that target operational efficiency and drive positive, measurable business outcomes.

 

This role will;

  • Work alongside the Head of Commercial and the IT team to develop an IT system strategy for Port Taranaki Limited (PTL);
  • Engage with key stakeholders to identify business drivers and user requirements;
  • Implement projects that optimise the use of technology, software solutions and reporting tools;
  • Write requirements for further development of systems;
  • Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide support, training and creative solutions to assist the business;
  • Proactively analyse and determine data capture requirements and develop reporting solutions that meet the needs of the business;
  • Work closely with the business to map out common data structures, formats, and identify data integration opportunities.

 

A successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Be process orientated, logical and demonstrate an exceptional level of attention to detail
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have an ability to be flexible in a changing environment and able to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Be skilled in research, metrics and reporting
  • Have solid experience in Relational Database Management, Cloud technologies and Enterprise Resource Planning as well as the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have gained a related degree with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a related role.
