Port Taranaki is an international port with excellent facilities. Efficient stevedoring operations can be contracted through Port Taranaki, or directly. Fuel is available by pipeline to the Newton King Tanker Terminal and the Blyde 3 berth, and by road tanker to all other berths. Fresh water is available with 4 inch connections at Blyde and Breakwater berths. Shore power is at all berths on Blyde Terminal and Moturoa Wharf. Telephones are available on all berths. Facilities exist for the receipt and disposal of all wastes under the MARPOL convention. Full providoring services are available and all types of stores are offered including frozen foods, fresh vegetables, chemicals, lube oils and general goods. Ships chandlers prefer 72 hours notice of providoring requirements. A feature of the bunkering, stevedoring and providoring operations at Port Taranaki is that they also cater for smaller vessels, particularly those involved in servicing the oil and gas operations offshore from Taranaki. Port Taranaki offers dedicated offshore services berths at Blyde Wharf 3 and the Main Breakwater.
