Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Directory

Customs Brokers

Customs Brokers act on behalf of the importer to clear goods through Customs. Specifically, a Customs Broker prepares and files the necessary Customs entries, arranges for the payment of any duties due, and can also arrange delivery to the importer's warehouse or final destination. Furthermore, the Customs Broker will assist the client with advice on transportation options, types of carriers, and shipping routes.

Freight Forwarding

This is an important aspect of the shipping process, especially if you're new to the field. A freight forwarder looks after the transportation of your cargo, whether it be by air, rail, truck or ship (or a combination of these methods).

Their services can include:

  • estimating transportation costs as well as any other related fees
  • selecting a suitable carrier for your product
  • co-ordinating the movement of cargo
  • preparing the necessary paperwork
  • arranging storage and cargo insurance
