Security at Port Taranaki |
|||
|
Port Taranaki is required to comply with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code that came into effect on 1 July 2004. To comply with the ISPS code Port Taranaki has introduced policies and procedures to control access to the port's secure areas. Port Taranaki will continue to provide a high standard service to its customers to ensure that cargoes are protected and secure while held in the port area. The assistance of all port users in ensuring ongoing compliance is greatly appreciated. Maritime New Zealand is the designated authority responsible for the administration of the Maritime Security Act 2004 in New Zealand. The Maritime Security Act 2004 enables New Zealand to meet its obligations under the ISPS Code. |
